Roots started their brew day while the other half of their crew picked up 60 pounds of just picked Nugget hops from Charlie Davidson’s hop farm. A blend of specialty malts makes up the backbone of their beer and accents the fruity aroma of the beer. The hop bags floated like a hippopotamus in the Nile, thus the name. They wet-hopped this ale with a blend of Nuggets and Cascade hops from their home gardens to push the floral aroma over the edge. 5.6% ABV, 50 IBU’S
