Parsec Pale
Editors note – when asked for a name for a fresh hop beer using Millennium Hops, I immediately came up with the Millenium Falcone – but perhaps fearing a storm trooper like assault from George Lucas’s lawyers, they came up with a more obscure Millennium Falcon reference involving involving the planet Kessel, the Maw Black Hole Cluster, Glitterstim Spice and traveling through hyperspace. A parsec, in case you are wondering is unit of length equal to about 3.3 light years.
Making the fresh hop beer run in less than 12 parsecs, our organic strong pale ale does battle with the evil empire of flavorless beers. They loaded their hop back with 20 pounds of freshly kilned, extremely high alpha, Millennium hops from Coleman Farms (Independence, OR). This single hop addition gave them all the resinous citrus hop aroma, flavor and bitterness they needed.
