A special History Pub at McMenamin’s Baghdad Theater celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the Oregon Brewpub Law. The evening begins with a “History of Hoptopia,” a lively overview of the Willamette Valley’s remarkable hop culture. Next, a panel of local beer experts, kept in check and on track by moderator and longtime beer columnist John Foyston, will tell the tales of how their lobbying efforts brought about the 1985 Oregon brewpub law and how that landmark legislation still impacts us today.
The panel includes: Fred Bowman, Fred Eckhardt, Art Larrance, Tom Mason, Brian McMenamin, Mike McMenamin+Dick Ponzi
Following the program, the OPB Oregon Experience film, “Beervana” will be screened at the Bagdad. This screening is for 21 and over only, but the rest of the program is open to all ages!
