Base Camp’s official beer, Mirror Pond Pale Ale, along with other superstars Hop in the Dark, Inversion IPA, and Twilight Summer Ale will quench any, and all, well-earned thirsts. Metropolis Cycle Repair will graciously offer complementary bike inspections. N. Williams neighbors Corsa Concepts, Signal Cycles, and Portland Design Works will contribute their own visionary quicksilver as well. Cycling-related prizes like jerseys, socks, and a copy of the vintage cycling epic Breaking Away, will be raffled off. This community event should not be missed by any two-wheeled enthusiasts!
WHERE: Vendetta, 4306 N Williams St

WHEN: Wednesday, August 17, 8 – 10 pm
WHAT: The Stoic Release, Reserve Flights & Homebrew Battle
Deschutes Brewery’s latest Reserve Series beer, The Stoic, has finally arrived! Its five year journey from experimental beer at the Pubs to “ambrosia in a bottle” is complete. The finest Belgian traditions have inspired our contribution to the American Quadruple scene-a remarkably smooth, yet complex brew, featuring pomegranate molasses, dark candy sugar, Pinot Noir and Rye Whiskey barrel-aging, and a healthy alcohol content. The Stoic reveals itself this night. Join us to taste…and testify! Beer recipes, hop giveaways, special prizes, and flights of other Reserve Series fancy, like Black Butte XXI, XXII, and XXIII, guarantee an unforgettable evening.
As if that wasn’t enough…
Attention homebrewers…stand up and be recognized! Escort your proudest homebrew to Belmont Station. We will transport it to Bend for a thorough Deschutes Brewery Sensory Panel evaluation. Prizes will be awarded for best label, story, and overall flavor. The Grand Prize Winner will earn a day with a brewer in one of Deschutes Brewery’s brewhouses in Bend or Portland!
To enter: Please bring one 22 oz. bottle of your brew to Belmont Station on August 17th. Attach a creative label to the bottle. Also attach some paper. All with a rubber band. This paper should include: name of beer, style and description, IBU’s and ABV (if known), full name of homebrewer, phone number, e-mail address…and the story behind the beer. Then count yourself in!

WHEN: Friday, August 19, 3-7pm
WHAT: Brewtank Dunkfest
Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls! Come help Deschutes Brewery dunk all of our favorite unusual suspects, like brewers, beer writers, and bar owners. Our “brew-dunk-tank” will only be filled with water (as our attorneys advised)…but that means more beer for everyone to drink! Pints of Base Camp’s official beer, Mirror Pond Pale Ale, plus crowd favorites Black Butte Porter and Green Lakes Organic Amber, will be available to slake mighty appetites. BBQ brats and various entertainments, like a one-man band, will lend a classic carnival feel to this fine summer afternoon. Tickets can be purchased for the “brew-dunk-tank” and… Black Butte XXII and XXIII Reserve Series flights. All proceeds go to Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF). Each dollar raised buys one Water Restoration Certificate, which equals 1,000 gallons of water restored to the middle Deschutes River!
WHERE: John’s Market, 3535 SW Multnomah Blvd

WHEN: Friday, August 19, 9pm – 1am
WHAT: Conflux – A Night of Collaboration
Combine local artists Andrew Wade Smith and Liz Harris and you have a 3D atmosphere with video projection, raw materials and sound. Live music from Commodorks, Monarques, Sean Flinn & The Royal We, and Goodnight Billygoat, delicious appetizers, and some damn tasty beers from Deschutes Brewery makes for an evening of sensory overload. Held at Portland’s premier audiovisionary center— touted as a space for artists, musicians, retailers, dancers, and communities to congregate and create. Congregate and create? That’s what craft beer is all about! To honor this spirit of collaboration, we’ll be sampling the newly released Conflux No. 2, a White I.P.A. developed in conjunction with Boulevard Brewing Company.
WHERE: Refuge, 116 SE Yamhill

WHEN: Saturday, August 20, 8am- 2pm
WHAT: Oyster Urban Adventure Race
Deschutes Brewery celebrates the adventurer in everyone, and nothing brings out that spirit better than the Oyster Race Series. That’s why the brewery is the official beer sponsor of the event series and is proud to help bring this race to Portland. Deschutes Brewery’s giant wooden barrel, aka Woody, will be on hand to encourage participants with his rolling coolness, and perhaps even serve a few celebratory brews as the day wears on. Tony Smiley, aka the loop-ninja, will showcase his verbal talents with smooth riffs to set the positive vibe. Good luck everyone…and Bravely Done to those who conquer the course.
WHERE: Transition Area at Pioneer Courthouse Square – Downtown Portland

WHEN: Saturday, August 20, 3-6pm
WHAT: Oyster Race After Party
Why race without a celebratory beer to wash it down? Oregonians take pride in combining their outdoor recreation and craft beer. So…Deschutes Brewery, sponsor of the Oyster Urban Adventure Race Series, hosts the after party for racers, spectators and the random wandering beer adventurer on the spectacular patio at Momo’s.
WHERE: Momo’s, 725 SW 10th Ave

WHEN: Saturday, August 20, 7:30 pm
WHAT: The Love of Beer Movie Premier
This documentary film celebrates women in the craft brew industry. Deschutes Brewery brewer extraordinaire Veronica Vega will be in the house! And so will the extraordinary Black Butte Porter. More than two years in the making, the film examines the choices women make in their personal and professional lives, as a minority in the craft beer business. It’s not for feminism or equality, it’s for “The Love of Beer.”

Vortex IPA – Our IPA is made with generous additions of cascade, Simcoe and Palisade hops throughout the brewing, fermentation and conditioning phases, balanced with heaps of organic pale malt. This beer was dry hopped for your enjoyment. ABV 7.5% IBUs: 80
LTD ‘03 – Well looky here, a crisp pilsner-style lager all ready to rock your tastebuds’ little world. The third addition to our LTD series is pale-golden in color, featuring a spicy floral hop aroma, malty medium body, and a smooth, thirst quenching finish. ABV 5.6% IBU 35
