Release of 2010 Sang Noir with a four year vertical tasting of all of our Sang Noirs. The ‘07, ‘08 and ‘09 Sang Noirs will only be available as part of a vintage vertical, which also includes ‘10 and sells for $10, with 3-ounce pours of each.
The ‘10 Sang Noir can be purchased separately in an 8-ounce glass for $6.50. The vintage vertical tasting of all four years is extremely limited, as there is only one keg of the ‘07 Sang Noir in existence. When the ‘07 runs out, the vintage vertical will include ‘08, ‘09 & ‘10 and sell for $7.50. The vertical tastings will run through the weekend or until the beers run dry.
Sang Noir ‘10 will remain on tap at the Barrel House for awhile. This NW-style sour ale is a blend of red and double red beers that were aged in Bourbon and Pinot Noir barrels for 12 to 24 months then blended with barrel aged Bing and sour pie cherries. Rich dark cherries, dark fruit, Bourbon and hints of leather greet you in the nose. Tart dark cherries, dark caramels and hints of Port on the palate lead to a bright, tart, dark cherry finish with lingering hints of oak and Bourbon.
